Representing true CA Hip-Hop the, "O&5th" is a confluence of 2 emcees that go by the names of O-Phrap and 5th-P.
The duo met in 2004 and 2006 had started recording together
.Ultimately, they’ve found themselves honing their craft for years that
date back to the early/mid 90's, inspired by the likes of Common, KRS-1,
Lauryn Hill, Nas, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, Dr. Dre, J.
Dilla and countless others, 5th-P and O-Phrap are breathing life into the current state of Hip-Hop.
Over the years they have gone on to record over beats produced by the likes of notable Los Angeles beat battle winner and famed "Low End Theory" producers like Dibia$e, P.U.D.G.E., Aspect-1, Dj Scienz, as well as others like AFTA-1, MNDSGN, & Dahliam. They have both collectively shared stages with the likes of Slum Village, KRS-1, Kev Brown, Exile, Keith Murray, Percee P, Ras Kass, Oh No, Planet Asia and many others. They are motivated heavily by originality, self-perseverance, individuality, and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ which is all apparent and shines through the music. Their sound can best be described as a mixture of jazzy, soulful, low ended, well chopped blaps meshed in with rhythmic lyrical excellence of the past, present and future. They are the kids who you could always find bobbin' their heads in the back of the bus with their headphones on just being themselves while always looking to put their two cents in when it came to the refinement of a dying art-form. Simply put, these kids have something to say. And believe me. They are more than worthy of your attention.
